Don't you hate it when you are reading a book and it's part of a book series and you have to wait FOREVER for the next book to come out. Then you get the next book and you can't remember where it left off? Well I'm going to summarize a book in a series that I've read so that when I get the next book I can look at my summary and know what happened. Warning, the following contains spoilers!
Fallen Series
Torment - Lauren Kate
Passion - 06/14/11
Rapture - Spring 2012
This starts out with Luce going to a new school in California, Shoreline. It is a school with Nephilim but it does have some humans attending. Luce will be protected there and that way Daniel along with Cameron can hunt Outcasts. They have made an 18 day truce. The Outcast are the immortals who want to kill Luce.
Of course Daniel doesn't tell Luce about why she is going to Shoreline or about the truce. Which makes Luce angry that he treats her like a little kid so every time they do see each-other they fight. At Shoreline she meets Shelby, a Nephilim and her roommate. She also meets Miles, another Nephilim that she develops feelings for. We also learn that Shelby and Daniel had a fling, although Daniel basically denies it.
Luce learns that the Announcers can be used to view a past event. So she tries to use them to learn more about her past. She ends up visiting a sister she left behind and when they touch she gets flashes of her old life.
At the end of the book while everyone is at her parent's house for Thanksgiving some Outcast come. They are here for Luce and said she is the key to get them back into heaven. Then as they are leaving Cam shoots Luce with a Starshot ( a special arrow that kills angels, but will not harm humans) and she dies. Not really since Miles made a replicate of her while she hid. So everyone including the Outcasts think she's dead and they leave. After they leave Luce comes out and they all see she's okay and she opens up an Announcer and steps in. So now she is in a past life and Daniel must find her and save her.
