Book in a Series - The Morganville Vampires Series

Don't you hate it when you are reading a book and it's part of a book series and you have to wait FOREVER for the next book to come out.  Then you get the next book and you can't remember where it left off?  Well I'm going to summarize a book in a series that I've read so that when I get the next book I can look at my summary and know what happened.  Warning, the following contains spoilers!

The Morganville Vampires Series
Ghost Town - Rachel Caine
Ghost Town (Morganville Vampires, Book 9)
Bite Club - May 3, 2011

Claire is being punished for killing a vampire by making her repair the borders that were put up to prevent people from leaving Morganville.  She is required to work without any sleep until it is fixed.  She manages to fix it and Myrnin puts his touches on it and it causes everyone in Morganville to forget the last 3 years.  That includes both humans and vampires.

Claire goes home and realizes that Michael does not remember her or that he is a vampire.  Her dad is hospitalized and her parents are given special permission to leave Morganville for good.

Oliver bites Amelie and takes control of Morganville.  So she is basically alone and when she tries to fix the machine, she can't because Myrnin has gone insane and can't remember her.  Then she goes to Amelie and sees that she's bitten Olivier to take control back and is not herself.

Claire teams up with Shane (who can't remember her) and their friends and also Frank (Shane's dad).  In the end, Frank blows up the machine and dies himself.  Then we see that Myrnin has fixed the machine and used Frank's brain for it because the only way it will work properly is with a brain in it.

Celeste! You put me to shame with the amount of reading you do. Seriously. :) I wish I was still reading like that. I'm trying though.

Two things I love to do: watching TV and reading. Too little time and too many books/tv shows to read/watch.
