Book in a Series - The Morganville Vampires

Don't you hate it when you are reading a book and it's part of a book series and you have to wait FOREVER for the next book to come out.  Then you get the next book and you can't remember where it left off?  Well I'm going to summarize a book in a series that I've read so that when I get the next book I can look at my summary and know what happened.  Warning, the following contains spoilers!

The Morganville Vampires
Bite Club - Rachel Caine
Bite Club (The Morganville Vampires, #10)
Last Breath - 11/01/11

I absolutely love this series.  Every time a new one comes out I wonder what Rachel Caine will do and every time my eyes are glued to the pages.  I love all of the characters in these books, both human and Vampires.

The Glass House gets a flyer for a new gym in town.  The gym teaches humans how to defend against vampires.  Of course Shane is very interested and he gets wrapped up in it and there begins a fight club.  The people leading the club are vampires and they give Shane a special drink (energy drink mixed with vampire blood) to help him stay strong.  The Vampire Glory (we were introduced to her last book) is using her glamour on Shane.  Shane gets wrapped up in fight club and pretty much ditches Michael, Eve and Claire.  Poor Claire, I felt so bad for how Shane treated her.  He especially hates the relationship between Claire and Myrnin and believes there is more of a romantic relationship.

All the fighting is being run by Bishop, who escaped.  Also helping out is Amy (the one that had video taped Shane and stalked him).  Even though she was locked up.  Frank is trying to help Shane but doesn't want him to know about him.

In the end Myrnin helps save Shane along with Michael, Eve and Claire and also Frank.  Shane finds out about Frank at the end and sees the error in his ways.  Myrnin finally kills Bishop so he is no longer a threat.

Also in the book, Claire gets accepted into MIT and finally turns it down.  Eve and Michael get engaged.
