Book Review: Lover Reborn - J.R. Ward

Ever since the death of his shellan, Tohrment is a heartbroken shadow of the vampire leader he once was. Brought back to the Brotherhood by a self-serving fallen angel, he fights again with ruthless vengeance- and is unprepared for a new tragedy. Seeing his beloved in dreams—trapped in a cold, desolate netherworld—he turns to the angel to save his former mate, only to despair at the path he himself must take to set her free. As war with the lessers rages, and a new clan of vampires vies for the Blind King’s throne, Tohr struggles between an unforgettable past, and a future that he doesn’t know he can live with… but can’t seem to turn away from.

4/5 stars (really liked it)
This book had several stories included, not just Tohr.  Although we learn quite a bit about him, which is nice since we've never really gotten to know him.  We also learn a little bit about Xhex's mother No'One and what really happened to her. We also learn more about the Band of Bastards led by Xcor and what they are doing in Cadwell and what their agenda really is.

As always I would like to slap the Brothers for their stupidity and lack of communication with their Shellans and/or lovers.  There was a lot of sex in this one more so that I remember in other ones.  Tohr's story comes to an end but the story with Xcor does not so we will see where things lead in the next book.  Which of course I cannot wait to read even though I don't know who's story it will focus on.  All the brothers are mated and their stories have been told.  I would love to see a story about Qhinn and Blay who are in love with eachother but too stupid to act on things.  Also would love to get a story on Lassiter the angel since his backstory is never really told.
