Book in a Series - The Black Dagger Brotherhood

Don't you hate it when you are reading a book and it's part of a book series and you have to wait FOREVER for the next book to come out.  Then you get the next book and you can't remember where it left off?  Well I'm going to summarize a book in a series that I've read so that when I get the next book I can look at my summary and know what happened.  Warning, the following contains spoilers!

All the previous books have been about a brother in the brotherhood so it was nice that this one was about Payne, sister of Vishous and daughter of the Scribe Virgin.  In the previous books she was injured and brought to the world for treatment.  The person that is called to help her is Dr. Manuel Manello, who we had met in previous books but was not a large part of the series.

New warriors are introduced better, they were briefly introduced in the previous books.  They are led by Xcor, and turns out they were warriors of Vishous father.  The person that killed him was Payne and they have been trying to find her for a very long time.

So back to Payne, she is reunited with her brother Vishous whom she thought was dead and he didn't even know about her.  She does not quite heal as she should and it basically takes her attraction to Manny to heal herself.  She also helps heal his horse that has been injured as well as Manny himself.  He looks younger and he find out he's related to Butch somehow so he could potentially become a Brother, but decides to just stay human for now.

V is going through a rough time and Butch is there to help him.  The relationship between V and Jane is somewhat shaky but they figure things out in the end.

The next book will be about Tohr and maybe a new love interest for him.
