So I'm currently reading The Chronicles of Narnia. I've read The Magician's Nephew and I'm reading The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe. It's seems pretty interesting. I'm hoping to have it done by the time the movie comes out December 9th.
Also another thing I'm looking forward to is Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire which comes out November 18th. I'm going to go see it November 19th. I re-read the book a few weeks ago to freshen my memory on it. I can't wait.
So Thanksgiving is right around the corner and then Christmas. Time to get my shopping done!!!

Websites
Here are some of my favorite websites:
http://www.apanonar.net/phpbb2/ Lord of the Rings Fan Forum (cool place to talk to friends about pretty much anything, not necessarily LOTR)
http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html Astronomy picture of the Day (new picture everyday)
http://www.crochetpatterncentral.com/index.php You can get free crochet patterns, even has a list of basic stitches.
http://webbook.nist.gov/chemistry/ NIST, you can look up chemicals by either name, CAS # or formula
http://www.aist.go.jp/RIODB/SDBS/cgi-bin/direct_frame_top.cgi?lang=eng Compound and Spectral seach, I used this quite a bit in college.

Contact by Carl Sagan
So I'm currently reading this book. I haven't read too much of it. I saw the movie and own it so I'm trying not to compare. I've found that the book is very different than the movie. First of all the book has a female president, then the lead character Ellie doesn't by herself discover the signal. I think I actually like the book better. I remember in college in my Astronomy class watching Cosmos with Dr. Carl Sagan in them. In his little spaceship discovering the cosmos. Those were so fun to watch.

Dean Koontz
One of my all time favorite authors is Dean Koontz. I've read tons of his books. The book I'm currently reading right now is Frankenstein Book 2 : City of Night which is actually written by Dean Koontz and Ed Gorman. But it's really good, not the typical Frankenstein story. He actually will have 3 Frankestein books. I've read the first one and the second one just came out in July and the third one will come out in 2006. I totally recommend Dean Koontz as an author to read.

Scrapbooking
I'm making a scrapbook of my cat. Yes I know she's just my cat, but to me she's my little baby. My husband just doesn't understand, all he says is "She's just a cat" Just a cat? Just a cat? Well he thinks I'm crazy for making one of her. Oh well. I made one for my son. I actually like scrapbooking, although I never have time. I end up bringing all my stuff to work and working on it during my lunch break.

Skymaps
http://www.skymaps.com/ gives you a free map of the sky. It tells you events that will happen that month. You can dowload it each month and print it. It's a PDF file. There's northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere.
Refusal to eat dinner
My son refused to eat dinner last night. We were having tacos and he ate like two bites. So because he didn't eat much for dinner he woke up at 7am this morning. He ate a really good breakfast though. Regular oatmeal and some banana. It was nice to see him before work, becaue I normally don't get to.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Harry Potter Spoiler, don't read if you don't want to know what happened.
So I just finished reading it yesterday. I cannot wait for the seventh one! It was so good! I can't believe Dumbledore was killed by Snape who was the Half-Blood Prince! WOW!! I'm sure Hermoine will get together with Ron in the next book. Oh and I think Harry is the last Horcrux. So maybe Harry and Voldemort will both have to die.

Life in general
Someone is on vacation at my work all week. Which means I get to take over her job. How fun! My lunch schedule gets all screwed up, plus I have to stay here until 5pm instead of 4:30pm. Then I don't get home until almost 5:30pm and my son is crabby because he's been waiting for me to come home to eat dinner. My son is almost 14 months old BTW. Yesterday I got stuck in a wonderful traffic jam so I didn't get home until after 5:30pm. On the plus side we finally got some much needed rain. My grass is almost dead!! My poor plants are dying! And a stupid squirrel keeps digging in the garden so it can cool off in the dirt. It also chewed up one of my cushions for my outdoor furniture.
