Book Review: Carrier of the Mark - Leigh Fallon

Carrier of the Mark - Leigh Fallon
Carrier of the Mark (Carrier Trilogy, #1)
Their love was meant to be.

When Megan Rosenberg moves to Ireland, everything in her life seems to fall into place.  After growing up in America, she's surprised to find herself feeling at home in her new school.  She connects with a group of friends, and she is instantly drawn to darkly handsome Adam DeRis.

But Megan is about to discover that her feelings for Adam are tied to a fate that was sealed long ago--and that the passion that brought them together could be their ultimate destruction.

3/5 stars (liked it)
I found the beginning of this book very similar to Twilight.  Girl moves to a new town (in this case new country), she's never had a boyfriend before, makes friends with a group of people, interested in the "strange" family and boy that everyone tells her not to waste her time on.  But those similarities ended there and the rest of the book ended up being quite different form Twilight.  I like the supernatural beings and Megan's connection the the DeRis family.  The end resolved some things but left some things open.  I will definitely read the next book in the series.  I really liked that this book took place in Ireland and not America like a lot of young adults do nowadays.
