Heroes - Brave New World(02/08)

I can't believe this is the season finale of Heroes. I actually just found out it was when I checked the TV listings on Sunday. I thought it was a good episode and it wrapped up a few story lines that have been dragging on since the beginning of the season.

Hiro - He gets up from the hospital bed and Ando is worried about him. He says he's fine and he's ready to go. The nurse comes in a brings a note from Charlie, she's down the hall. He visits her but finds an old woman instead. But it is truly Charlie and she's old. Turns out she was brought to 1944 and she built a life for herself and was very happy. She got married after the war and had five children and seven grandchildren. Hiro wants to go back and get her but when he sees what a good life she had he decides that his quest is complete and that he is happy for her. They get a call from Bennet that they need their help. At the carnival there is chaos and Hiro with the help of Ando take a bunch of the Specials out of there.

Claire and Noah are still stuck in the trailer 50 feet under. Noah knows he's going to die and tells Claire that he doesn't want her to be exposed for her powers and that she needs to stay hidden. As we think that Noah is going to die, some liquid comes in and it's Tracy to the rescue. She gets both Claire and Noah out of there via water and they are saved. Lauren is waiting for them and tells them that Samuel has moved the Carnival to Central Park and that she has a helicopter that is coming for them. They get to Central Park and split up. Noah has a run in with Edgar and we think he will get killed but Edgar wants Samuel gone too. Claire convinces the other carnies that Samuel is using them and that he gets his powers from them and that they need to leave. They all leave with the help of Hiro and Ando. Claire comes back to help out.

Peter and Sylar are in the basement at Matt's house. They are confronted by a bunch of Eli replicates. Also Matt is confronted by them and he tries to use his powers on them but it only works on the original. As Matt is about to be killed he is saved by Peter and Sylar. After a while getting Matt convinced that Sylar wants to help he lets them go and he uses his mind powers on Eli.

At the carnival, Emma is being used by Doyle to lure people to the carnival. Sylar comes to the rescue but gets trapped by Doyle too. But while he's distracted Emma uses her power to knock Doyle down and escape. This leaves Sylar alone with Doyle. But instead of killing him he ties him up.

Peter absorbs Samuel's power and they fight. But when all the carnies disappear he looses his powers and Peter punches him. Samuel gets arrested and Peter reunites with Emma.

The media is there and Claire decides to expose herself for who she is and she climbs the Ferris wheel and jumps and shows she can heal to the media. In the meantime no one tries to stop her and Noah is very upset because all her life he's been trying to keep her from being exposed.

So next season looks like the world will know about Specials.

Heroes - The Wall (02/01)

I thought last night's episode was good and I loved the Sylar/Peter story! I can't wait until next week.

Claire and Noah are still at the Carnival. Claire demands to see her father and Samuel tells her that her father hurt people and he's a bad man. So she takes her to the house of mirrors and she sees his past. His past is that he used to be a car salesman and had a wife and she was pregnant. A special came into their house and killed his wife. Since that day he has been out to get that guy and accidentally kills another special looking for the guy. Thompson comes to him and tells him that he wants to offer him a job at The Company. So we find out how he became part of that. Then him and Thompson are eating and Thompson tells him that he's killed too many and he needs to calm down and take a wife and have kids. So he points to the waitress, which happens to be Sandra. Claire is upset and Noah tells her that he did love Sandra and that the past is the past. But we see him threatening Gretchen into helping him keep Claire away from Samuel. Claire is upset and leaves and Samuel comes. She sarcastically says that her dad is bad and that she should stay with Samuel, but she tells him that her father may have done bad things but she loves him and he's still her dad. So he tells her they can leave and while she's getting Noah out of the souvenir trailer, Samuel sinks them about 50 feet underground. The reason he did that is so Claire can watch Noah die. Samuel and gang are packing up to leave.

Peter is stuck in Sylar's dream. Sylar finally finds him and tells him he's been alone for 3 years, but Peter tells him its only been a few hours. After some convincing that Peter is real he tells Sylar he needs him to help Emma. They go back and forth about things. Peter is upset that Sylar killed Nathan and will never forgive him. In the course of years, Sylar changes to a better person and Peter accepts him and they get out of the dream. As they're about to leave a bunch of Elis come to stop them. I doubt they can stop Sylar!!

Heroes - The Art of Deception (01/25)

I thought it was a good episode and was glad the it only really focused on two story lines.

Claire goes to visit her dad to talk things out. But Lauren opens the door and Claire sees that they are planning to strike the carnival. She gets mad and leaves, she goes to warn Lydia. Of course Eli overhears and tells Samuel. He says he will give himself up to keep the carnival safe. Meanwhile Noah and Lauren are nearby and he's ready with a gun. They decide to meet on the field and Lauren says she will meet him and Noah stays on looking. Samuel gets on a platform and tells the Carnies that he's leaving to keep him safe and then he gets shot in the shoulder and more shots are fired. Including Claire getting shot in the neck. They are making it seem like it's Noah doing it but I know it wasn't and sure enough it's Eli. Noah shoots Eli, but it was just a clone doing it and the real Eli knocks him out and bring him to the carnival. Lauren also got shot and she stays hidden. Samuel's plan worked and now the carnival things the humans are bad and Samuel is not so bad anymore. Lydia also gets shot and she learns his plan but then dies. Edgar comes and sees Lydia dead and tells Samuel that he told Noah about things. Claire is locked in Samuel's trailer and Noah is in the house of mirrors.

Peter goes to visit his mother. He tells her that he saw the dream and that Sylar will save her. So he says he needs to find Sylar.

Sylar is still at the Parkman house when Matt comes home. He's pretending to be and old colleague and Janice makes them lunch. Then they talk and Sylar says he wants his powers gone and wants Matt's help. He says that he will use his powers on Janice and Matty unless Matt gets rid of them. With the help of Janice, Matt realizes what he must do. He traps Sylar in a nightmare, like Maury had done to him. Then Peter comes and takes Matt's power and find Sylar. He goes into the nightmare with him.

Next week it looks like Peter and Sylar will try to escape the nightmare.

Heroes - Pass/Fail (01/18)

Samuel, man I am really hating that guy. He still has Veronica at his carnival. They talk about the past and how they have always been happy when together. He is building her dream home and that has been his goal his whole life. He takes her there and she loves it but she says that she can't live there. She doesn't belong there and he only built it for himself. She leaves the carnival since that's what they agreed on. He gets angry and lashes out at a waitress in a diner and sinks the whole town by the carnival. All the carnies see this and then he comes back angry. Looks like Samuel is even more evil now.

Claire is back at school and eating breakfast with Gretchen. She tries to get her to talk about the Carnival and her dead father but Claire puts a wall up and leaves. She runs into Sylar who says he was sent there because she needs to help him. He makes a chart saying how the same they are. She thinks he's captured Gretchen and tries to find out where she is. He kisses her to find out more about her and tells her she's built a wall because she doesn't want to get hurt. She stabs him in the eye with a pencil and finds Gretchen in their room. Sylar is chasing them and they hide in a broom closet. While there they talk things out and Claire apologizes to her and then she says that Sylar is like her and that he needs to rid himself of his powers and get his humanity back. This prompts Gretchen to reveal that she is Sylar and that Claire did in fact help him. He leaves her and she runs to Gretchen and they hold hands and talk.

Hiro is at Noah's apartment and he passes out and Ando takes him to the ER. They work on him and while they're doing that Hiro is in a diner and it is like a court to decide his fate. His father is the judge and Adam is the lawyer prosecuting him. Ando is his defense lawyer. They claim he has abused his power and he should die. After defending himself and pleading "not guilty" they find him guilty. He goes to die and on the way there he changes his plea to "guilty" because a hero dies with honor. This makes his dad smile and claim he can live but first must sword fight Adam. He beats Adam and then sees his mom. She's there to heal him and she does and he is alive and I'm thinking no more brain tumor.

At the end we see Janice opening the door and it's Sylar looking for Matt.

Hereos - Close to You (01/11)

We start off with a really long recap of what's been going on.

Noah is still bent on getting to the carnival. Lauren keeps suggesting that he call Claire and get the compass but he refuses. Instead he finds Vanessa (this is the one Samuel is in love with) and with the help of Matt (who is bored staying home) gets her to talk. She says Samuel still visits her and that she can get in contact with him. So they set it up to have him come and they plan to take him down. But he gets Eli's help and he kidnaps Vanessa. Matt and Noah try to follow him but the carnival disappears and they are back where they started. Matt decides to go home and be with hi family. Then at dinner he says he's a coward because he's not out there dealing with things but Janice tells him he belongs at home. Noah then decides to visit Claire so they can talk about things. She opens the door and tells him she's busy for something and to come back later. Noah goes back to his apartment and then Lauren comes. They kiss and then pop comes Hiro, Ando and Suresh.

Ando gets Hiro committed because that's what Hiro wanted. When they bring him to his room Ando figures out that Suresh is there and that Hiro wanted to rescue him. So they run off with Suresh. Then Suresh says they need Hiro's power to get out of there. Ando zaps Hiro and he goes back to being himself. They then zap out of there and into Noah's apartment.

Peter wakes up with the compass tattoo back. He tries calling Noah and leaves messages. Then Emma uses her siren song to get him to come to her place. He sees the symbol on the cello and tells her Samuel is bad. She refuses to believe. At his apartment he talks to her and tries to convince her about Samuel. Then Angela comes and freaks out when she sees Emma. Peter gets mad at Angela and she tells him that Emma will kill many people and that he can't help her. He takes her power and he dreams about Emma. She's playing the cello at the carnival and she's upset and then Sylar comes and tells her he's there to help her. Peter goes to her house and destroys the cello and tells her what he saw. She gets upset and tells him to leave.

Heroes - "Upon This Rock" & "Let it Bleed" (01/04)

We start off with the recap of Nathan/Sylar jumping off the roof.

Peter and Noah stage a flying accident where Nathan is killed. This is so the media knows he's dead and of course they hold a funeral. Peter is not grieving and his mother is concerned and asks Claire to help him deal with it. Peter is dealing with it by keeping the promise he made to his brother about becoming a hero. So he is on the roof listening to police radio and when Claire goes and finds him he's gone but she knows where he went. Some guy in some office is shooting everyone because he got fired. Peter tries to calm the guy down but he gets shot in the shoulder. Him and Claire have a talk and he asks for her power and she reluctantly gives it to him. She says she won't always be there when he needs her. They once again go up on the the roof and Peter asks if she still keeps in touch with West. Claire calls him and he meets Peter and he gets his power. We of course don't get to see West at all. Peter flies off.

At the beginning of the episode(s) Claire is at the Carnival. She talks to Lydia and pretty much guesses that there's something wrong with Samuel and that he killed Joseph. She tries to sneak into his trailer, she saw him with a Primatech box earlier. But Samuel had Eli (the guy that can clone himself) follow her and not let her leave. After much chasing, Claire bonks him over the head and his clones disappear and she gets into the trailer. She finds a map and an old picture of Samuel and Joseph. As she's leaving she's stopped by Doyle. They exchange some words and Claire convinces him to let her go. Claire confronts Samuel about killing his brother and all the awful things she things he will do. He takes her to the field where we see someone making it green and pretty. Now Claire doesn't think Samuel is so bad. She goes to Nathan's funeral.

Samuel pays a visit to Emma. Emma is upset because she wanted to be a doctor but didn't get accepted. She goes home and is about to play the cello when Samuel knocks. He tells her that he has an ability like her. He tells her that she can play music to lure people like a siren. He has her go to the park and concentrate on a man and he comes. That man is the one he takes back to the carnival, he can make things grow.

Also Sylar is back! He comes to the Carnival to kill Samuel but he can't. There's a part of him that is no longer a killer. Samuel gets some sand and "kills" him. While he's regenerating he talks to Lydia and tells her to talk to him and find out what wrong with him. She tries to seduce him but he won't have it and takes her ability without killing her. Her ability is to know what people want. Sylar is confused and asks Samuel for some ink so he can find out what he should do. Samuel says he needs to stay at the carnival. So they wager on what the tattoo will reveal. We get an anticipation and Sylar sees an image on his arm and runs off. The Carnival was not where he is supposed to be.

Hiro is in Japan and very confused. He rambles on about being and Jedi and saving the world. Police pick him up and they find a business card and contact Ando. Hiro's sister thinks he need help, as in a neurosurgeon. But Ando figures out that Hiro is trying to tell them something through comic books. He figures out that there is a psychiatric ward Hiro wants to go to. I'm assuming is to get Mohinder out.

Noah goes back after the funeral to his apartment. Claire told him not to come to the visitation afterwards. She's mad at him for lying about Sylar. We see a shadow in the window and then he opens it. It's Edgar and we think he's going to kill Noah but he's prepared and zaps him with a stun gun. He's at an Asian restaurant where he rents out the place for a while and he calls in his former partner (I forget her name). She brings him a truth serum and he tells her he has Edgar locked up in the freezer. After tormenting him he finds out nothing so she tells him to talk to him. So Noah goes in again with some tea and Edgar begins to talk about Samuel and Joseph and how he's collecting people. They draw a map and decide to go in and take Samuel out. But then Edgar gets scared thinking his "family" will die and freaks out and leaves with the map.

At the end we see Claire go back to her dorm. Gretchen leaves a note saying she's at the library studying late. Then we see Sylar outside her window with her face tattooed on his arm and he says "Hello, Cheerleader".

Heroes - Thanksgiving (11/23)

It's Thanksgiving for all the heroes.

Noah is having Thanksgiving at his house. Claire is coming and so is Sandra and her boyfriend Doug. While shopping at the grocery store he runs into his old partner (the one he almost had an affair with). They get to talking and he invites her to Thanksgiving and she in turn helps him cook the meal. At the table Claire has a meltdown. She wants to drop out of school and in front of Doug she cuts her arm and he faints. Noah talks to her and tells her she has options and shows her the compass. She of course steals it and guess who comes to dinner, it's Gretchen. Noah invited her because he knew how much she meant to Claire. They go in the car together and Claire says they're not going back to school but will be using the compass to find Samuel. Looks like they're going on a road trip.

Nathan(Sylar) and Peter are having Angela over for Thanksgiving dinner. She arrives and Peter demands answers. She sits down with them and tells them she had a dream that Matt saves Nathan and so she did the only thing she could do to save her son. So she comes clean about Nathan being inside Sylar. Then Nathan turns back into Sylar and he is about to kill Angela and he just can't. Nathan is still inside him and fights until Nathan is back. Then he leaves them and flies out the window.

Hiro is angry at Samuel for not telling him where Charlie is. But he can't kill Samuel because then he will never know where Charlie is. He expresses his hate for Samuel to Lydia and she tells him she can help him. She doesn't understand why Samuel didn't have Hiro save Joseph. Samuel had told them an agent had killed Joseph. So they go back in time and see Samuel killing Joseph. So now Lydia knows the truth and she tells Edgar. At dinner Samuel knows that something is up and he says they have a betrayer. Edgar tells him to tell everyone he killed Joseph but Samuel makes Edgar look guilty and just as he's about to kill him, Hiro stops time. He tells Edgar he can't kill Samuel yet and sometimes a hero has to run and fight later. So Edgar leaves and that makes him look even more guilty. Then Samuel talks to Hiro and there's a standoff and some guy comes and touches Hiro's head. I don't know what he does but it is not what Samuel intended because Hiro disappears.

Heroes - Brother's Keeper (11/16)

It was a good episode and we got some background on Samuel.

Claire is over at Noah's place doing some laundry and Tracy shows up. Her powers are out of control and she came to Noah for help. Claire helps her out, gives her a hot bath then makes her some tea. Tracy accidentally freezes Claire and rips her foot off. Tracy freaks out but Claire thaws out and tells her that she can heal herself. Her foot grows back. Her and Tracy talk and they talk about Samuel. Claire tells her she should go join the carnival since that seems to be what her body is telling her. Noah comes in while they're talking and that's about it.

Hiro is to go back in time and get a film strip that Mohinder burns. Mohinder is back in India teaching and he has a girlfriend. He still has a box of Chandra's stuff and she tells him to throw it out. He does but then digs it out and finds a film about Samuel. The film shows that Samuel is very powerful and that his powers increase exponentially when surrounded by people with power. Mohinder builds a compass to find Samuel and he does. We get to meet Joseph before he died. He talks to Mohinder and tells him that he's been looking out for his brother and making sure he doesn't get too powerful. Of course Samuel overhears this and seeks Mohinder out. He wants the film and when Mohinder refuses to help him, he kills him. But since Hiro went back in time he put a bulletproof vest on Mohinder and saves his life. He tells him that he needs to dissapear for 8 months so he can get Charlie back. Mohinder won't and Hiro puts him in a mental hospital. Hiro goes back and gives Samuel the film but he still refuses to bring Charlie back.

Nathan goes to Peter for help. Also The Haitian comes and tells him that he needs to know the truth and gives him the address of a storage facility. He of course brings Nathan with and there they find Nathan's body frozen. Nathan/Sylar touches the body and he says he only got glimpses and that his mother was involved and so was Matt Parkman. So they go find Matt but he's in the hospital in Texas. So Peter uses his healing ability to heal him. Matt freaks out because Sylar is back and Sylar's body is also in the same room. Sylar takes over and wants Nathan to touch him so he can get his body back. Security comes and there's a fight and Nathan accidentally touches him. Then he grabs Peter and flies out the window. Nathan tells him he needs to figure things out and then Peter touches him and absorbs his power. They fly off together. Matt is rid of Sylar and he breaks out of the hospital.

Heroes - Shadowboxing (11/09)

Just finished watching Heroes and I have a little time so I decided to put this up early.

Matt/Sylar are traveling in an airport made Sylar pack the guns. So it take Sylar 4 hours to talk his way out of going to jail, he is a cop. Then they get a flat tire on the way to NY because they can't fly. Matt and Sylar argue about who has control. A tow truck guy stops to help and just to show Matt he has control he kills him. Stuff him in the trunk and then they go eat at the Burn Toast Diner. Sylar is saying how he almost killed a waitress there (Charlie) and how he can kill the waitress now unless Matt tells him what happened to his body. After much back and forth, Matt tells him. Then as they're leaving cops come (Matt had made him doodle on a napkin that he had a gun and was going to kill everyone). Matt realized that the only way to keep Sylar from doing more harm was to die so he makes like he's pulling a gun and cops shoot him. He's loaded into an ambulance where we don't know if he's dead or alive.

Claire and Gretchen are freaked out because of Becky. Claire goes to the Sorority to see if Becky is there and Gretchen is scared. At the Sorority, the Haitian (Rene) and Noah are there. They also want to find Becky. Noah stays back and searches Becky's room, while Rene and Claire go back to her place so that Becky's powers won't work around them. When Claire gets back Gretchen is packing and says she's going home because Becky is trying to kill her. Claire tells her she's important to her but Becky leaves anyways. Then Samuel comes and talks to Claire about how the real target for Becky was Noah. Apparently Noah killed Becky's parents when she was little and she wants revenge. This is told to us by a stand off between Noah and Becky. They get interrupted by some Sorority Sisters and he goes to Claire's place. He handcuffs Samuel and shows him that he found the compass in Becky's room. In the parking lot while Samuel is being put in his car, Becky shows up and Samuel zaps her with the stun gun. After some hesitation from Noah he lets them go.

Sylar/Nathan wakes up and shifts back to Nathan and flies away from the carnival. When Samuel gets back with Becky he tells her she'll still get her revenge. Lydia tells him that Sylar is gone.

Peter is using his healing ability to heal a bunch of people coming into the ER. He is getting really worn from doing all this. Emma is confused and helps out in the ER. Peter talks to her and finds out that she went to Medical school and dropped out after her second year of residency because she feels responsible for her nephew drowning and her not being able to save him. Peter goes home and takes down all his newspaper clippings. Nathan comes to the door and is glad to see Peter.

Heroes - Once Upon a Time in Texas (11/02)

Last night's episode takes us back to season 1. The day that Hiro met Charlie at the Burnt Toast Diner and the night that Sylar attacked Claire at Homecoming.

We see Hiro standing outside the diner and seeing Charlie. He knows he has to save her from dying. He hides out in the diner and we also see Sylar come in and Noah with his partner. Hiro decides to freeze time right before Sylar is about to kill Charlie. He puts Sylar in a bus and comes back and talks to Charlie, but before he does he realizes he just changed things and he never went back 6 months to meet her so he talks to himself and says he needs to go back. Samuel is also there messing with Hiro and telling him he can't change things. So he sets it all right and geos to talk to Charlie and she is weird because her aneurysm ruptured. So Hiro talks to Sylar and convinces him to save Charlie and he will tell him his future. Sylar saves Charlie and Hiro tells him he will acquire many abilities but he will die alone. Sylar still decides to go to Homecoming.

Noah has a partner that he is meeting at the diner. Looks like they are a little more than friends and she gives him hotel room key. He decides he's happy with his life and his family and they shouldn't have the affair. She gets the Haitian to erase her memory.

At the end once Hiro saves Charlie they decide to be together but she disappears. Samuel says that the former time traveler of his has died and he put Charlie somewhere in time and only Samuel knows where she is. Hiro must help Samuel right a wrong he did and that would be Monhinder laying on the floor of an apartment with Samuel standing there. Looks like Monhinder will be back next week.

Heroes - Strange Attractors (10/26)

I didn't think this episode was that great and not a lot happened. I think I like following Peter and Hiro better.

Noah - He stuck around to help Jeremy, but the cops have arrested Jeremy. They say the kid is weird and he killed his parents. So Noah calls in Tracy to help since Jeremy needs next of kin to get him out. So Tracy becomes aunt Tracy and she talks to him. She tells him about her ability and how hard it is to control and how she relates to him. Outside Samuel comes to her and brings her to the carnival and tells her that Jeremy belongs there and so does she. He gives her the compass and tells her to use it when she wants to come. When she gets back to get Jeremy he is still scared/angry. On the way out there is a mob of people and one guy comes up to Jeremy and he touches him and kills him. This makes the cops bring him back in and especially two cops that take it upon themselves to punish him. They do this by dragging him behind a truck and therefore killing him (this reminded me of that Supernatural episode where the guy was killed like that and they had to scare the ghost to death by doing the same thing again). Noah is upset and Tracy tells him not to call her again. She sits in her car and looks at the compass.

Claire - She is talking to Gretchen about what happened (the kiss) and then someone comes in with masks to kidnap them. Claire starts kicking their butts but Rebecca (the sorority head) tells Claire to stop beating them up they're just doing sorority stuff. So they take them (Gretchen, Claire and two other girls) to a slaughter house for a scavenger hunt. Except the scavenger hunt turns into Rebecca trying to kill Gretchen (which Claire figures out). She finds out that Rebecca can turn invisible and hits her with the hooks and Rebecca runs away. Claire is stuck on a hook and heals in front of the two other girls.

Matt - He is still being haunted by Sylar. Only now Sylar took over his body while he was with Janice. So Matt decides to figure out how to get rid of him. He does this by drinking and Sylar is getting hurt each time Matt drinks. Matt passes out as Janice and his sponsor come home. Matt wakes up and says he's better and goes to get a shower. That's when we see that Sylar took over his body when he passed out and now it's Sylar in control and Matt wanting his body back.

Next week looks like we'll see Hiro and Charlie and everything that happened three years ago. Will Hiro change the present?

Heroes - Hysterical Blindness (10/12)

Sylar - He really does look like Sylar now and he can't remember who he is. A psychologist tries to help him remember and a cop is impatient with him. They find out he's Gabriel Grey and that he's a murderer. Sylar says he's not a killer and uses his powers and escapes. He gets picked up by the psychologist who says she'll help him but he needs to turn himself in. The police find them and Sylar gets shot and he falls down a hill with psychologist. She sees him heal and then tells him to run.

Peter - He has lunch with his mother and she doesn't listen to him. He goes to work and on his way he saves Emma from getting hit by a car. She was too distracted by seeing sounds. Peter accidentally picks up her power because he can't run super fast anymore. He finds Emma at the hospital and tells her she has an ability and he picked hers up. She is skeptical and they play piano together and promise to have lunch together the next day. She goes home and plays the cello and gets angry and sends the sound waves crashing to the wall getting them to crack.

Claire - She is going to join a sorority along with Gretchen. She grows paranoid of Gretchen when she sees a lot of pictures of Claire on her computer and gets freaked out. Then it seems like Gretchen almost hits someone she was talking to at a party with a flag pole. When Claire confronts Gretchen about this is she is greeting with a kiss. Gretchen tells her that she is crushing on Claire and she is stunned. Then the sorority house comes to pledge them in.

One of the sorority sisters is Rebecca and she has an ability too. She also knows Samuel and she is working for him to try to isolate Claire. She can turn herself invisible and she was responsible for Anne's death and the flag pole.

At the carnival we see Samuel trying to get a face on Lydia's back. He gets one but we don't get to see. He also welcomes Sylar into the carnival and he plants some seeds.

Peter is visited by Hiro, who collapses in front of him.

Heroes - Acceptance (10/05)

Looks like they will be splitting up the character's stories each week. Which I think is better because we get more of their story at once.

Hiro - He is still dying and still determined to use his power to go back and change things. Kimiko asks him to give her away at the wedding and Hiro accepts. When Ando hears this he tells him that he might be dead by then and he needs to tell his sister the truth. Hiro gets a call from a former employee that is on the roof trying to kill himself. The reason he's trying to kill himself is because he got fired for copying in his butt and it has shamed his family. Hiro goes back and changes it for about 40 times and finally just talks to him and tells him he needs to find some other job and that he needs to tell the truth and do something he likes. This talk gets Hiro to talk to his sister and he tells her the truth. Then he gets a horrible headache then gets better and disappears.

Tracy - She gets ready and goes and gets her old job back. She realizes that she's changed and she's not as heartless as she used to be. She talks to Noah about it and he tells her that she has changed and that her old job won't be the same. She decides not to take the job but do something that will make a difference.

Nathan/Sylar - Nathan is going crazy because suddenly he has all these powers. He talks to Peter about it but he thinks it's just how the family is and it's normal. Nathan says that he can tell the history of items by touching them and that when he touched and old baseball hat he thinks he killed someone. That someone would be Millie's daughter (we met Millie last season helping Angela). Peter tells him to go visit Millie and find the truth. Turns out Millie says her daughter ran away. Nathan looks around and by touching objects he find out they were drinking and she fell off the diving board and hit her head. He confronts Angela about it and she fesses up that the Haitian erased his memory and that she took care of it. He says he needs to tell Millie the truth but Angela doesn't think he should. He does anyways and Millie won't believe him. But in a parking lot we see Nathan get stabbed and then later shot and buried. And because he's really Sylar we see him come out of the ground alive. Looks like Millie had him taken care of.

Noah - He gets a visit from Peter and he says he has the compass tattooed on his arm but then it's not there anymore. They argue a little bit but then Claire comes and Peter leaves. Claire tries to convince Noah to get a job, a real job. Nothing much happens but Claire spending time with her dad.

At the carnival Samuel is suspicious of Edgar and Lydia. He tries to get Lydia to show him another person but it still shows Noah. He gets frustrated and Lydia says maybe he's interested in them again.

Heroes - Ink (09/28)

This was a good episode, but it seems like not too much happened.

Matt - Still being haunted by Sylar. He tells his sponsor/partner that he has broken his 30 day sobriety and "used" and his drug is his power. They are staking out a place and his partner doesn't think he can handle it. But Matt convinces him he can. While they're searching the place for drugs Sylar is constantly bugging Matt. He leads him to the bathroom and finds a stuffed pink bunny. Sylar is trying to make him use his power to find out what's going on. He finally finds a ransom note put together by cut up magazines. Matt finally uses his power because he thinks a little girl's life is at stake and finds out she's under the stairs. He finds her and she's dead and Matt looses it and beats up the guy. His partner comes in and Matt tells him what's going on. Turns out there was no ransom note and no little girl under the stairs. Sylar's response "I used your own power against you" Matt is in big trouble so he does the logical thing and uses his power to convince his partner that the guy attacked him and Matt had no choice. Looks like Matt is going to help Sylar get his body back.

Samuel - He is dressing up in a suit and talking to Lydia (I think that's her name). He tells her he's found Joseph's replacement (that's his dead brother) and that he needs to go to his hometown. He sucks up some ink with his hands to be used later.

Peter - He is being sued by someone he saved. The guy that is suing him is Samuel. He claims he was on a bus and Peter was not being careful and hurt his shoulder and now he can't work and he wants some empathy. All Peter does is say he was not on the bus and he is being scammed.

Samuel goes to Peter's apartment and inks himself in a newspaper cut out of the bus accident and Peter comes home and sees he was indeed in the bus. He finds him at the park and he tells Samuel he's sorry that he didn't remember him. Samuel decides not to sue him and they shake hands. He does something to Peter I just know it. We find out he put a compass on his wrist later on when Peter sees it. That is after Samuel visits his family home (his parents were the butler and maid) and there is party going on and he asks if he can come and see where he used to live. The lady says it's not a good time and closes the door. Samuel gets angry and causes a sink hole. That is where Peter comes in as a paramedic and sees the house inside the sink hole and his compass appears. With Samuel looking on.

We meet a new person named Emma. She is deaf and can suddenly "see" sounds. She doesn't understand this and goes to her Doctor. She tells her that sometimes things like that happen to people that loose one of their senses and other senses are heightened. Turns out Peter meets Emma since she works at the hospital and he needs to see Samuel's file. She points to a note that says request need to be written down. He sees she has headphones but nothing plugged into them. Later on she is sitting at a park and can see the music coming from a cello. The guy gets up to get a hot dog and she starts playing. Which gets Peter's attention since he's also at the park.

Claire: She has to deal with Gretchen knowing her power. Except she's avoiding her and then when confronted she tells her she didn't see what she thinks she saw. Noah is there to take Claire to lunch and invites Gretchen to come along. He figures out that Gretchen knows and wants to call in the Haitian to erase her memory. Claire objects and tells him that she'll take care of it and that she's grown up and needs to deal with her own problems. So her and Gretchen talk in her room and Claire tells her everything. Then she invites her to be her roommate. I don't trust Gretchen and I think she has a hidden agenda.

Heroes - Season Premiere

I have been reading the graphic novels online. There were not too many this summer, but the last two were about Tracy. Basically she talked to Micah and got information on all the people that worked in Building 26. She set out to kill everyone and Noah Bennet was the fifth one. So it was no surprise to me when his car started filling up with water. Then Danko came and saved him and wanted him to join him to kill Tracy. Noah refused and he ends up talking to Tracy and tell her that he wants to help her and that he will take care of Danko. He takes care of Danko by having the Haitian erase his memory of Tracy. So Tracy goes to Danko's apartment to kill him but he doesn't recognize her. She changes her mind about killing him and turns to leave but hears voices and follows the sound. A really fast guy with knives is killing Danko and looking for something. He tries to kill Tracy but she's made out of water and doesn't die and the guy leaves. She calls Noah and he gets a key from Danko.

The key belongs to a safe deposit box. Noah convinces Peter to come with him and Peter only agrees because he wants the super fast ability. What's in the safe deposit box? A compass that doesn't work, except for when Peter holds it. The super fast guy comes and Peter steals his ability and they fight. Noah wants Peter to keep the compass but Peter just wants to live his normal life. Of course this is a big mistake because Fast Knife guy gets Noah and takes the compass.

Who wants the compass? A carnival guy named Samuel. His carnival is full of people with powers and his brother just died. His ability is to use ink on people and he has the power to make the ink do whatever he wants. This ability combined with a tattooed woman somehow can help him. He puts ink on the girl's back and that's how he knows he needs to kill Danko and that Danko has the compass. Fast Knife Guy is a carnival guy and Samuel makes him go get Danko. He is also looking for a new teleporter guy and finds out he needs Hiro.

Hiro on the other hand is not doing too well. He's dying because his ability is going haywire. He'll freeze and leap in time without being able to control it. He goes back 14 years to a carnival that Ando and his sister went to. At that carnival Hiro got his fortune and Hiro spilled a slushy on Kimiko's favorite dress and that's why she hates him. Samuel ses Hiro from the future and tells him he needs to change something from the past. Hiro refuses, but Samuel (he has the compass tattooed in his arm and it's moving wildly) pushes him and the slushy gets spilled on him instead of his sister. He leaps back to the present and Ando and Kimiko are together and have been for years. Hiro tells Ando about changing things and says that he must go back in time and change the wrongs.

Claire is off to college and meets her roommate Anna. She's an overachiever and has charted her whole life. Claire also meets another girl named Gretchen (something is not right with her) and they become friends. Then she finds Anna has jumped/pushed out the window. Gretchen thinks this is suspicious and tells Claire they need to find out the truth. She wants to steal a cadaver to probe that Anna was pushed because she would have landed differently. Claire can't sleep and decides to jump to see if Anna jumped. She lands the same way and figures out that Anna did kill herself. She pushes her ribs back in and fixes her broken arm and looks up and Gretchen is looking down at her. Uh oh!

Peter is again a Paramedic and is obsessed with saving lives. He has Monhinder's ability and he uses it to save people and he keeps track of it. He's so obsessed that he works non-stop. He says he's trying to make up for all the wrong that the Petrelli family has done. He gets Fast Knife guy's ability so he can be faster and save even more people. He hasn't talked to his mother in weeks or his brother (who is really Sylar).

Speaking of Sylar/Nathan, he's confused. He has lunch with Angela (she has a dream that it's Sylar that comes and the same scene is repeated only with Nathan) and she's freaked out because she sees that Sylar is trying to come out. Nathan/Sylar makes his cup move towards him and blue electricity sparks in his hands. He calls Peter and he leaves a message. Looks like Sylar will come out soon.

Matt is working for the police department and living with Janice and baby Matt. All seems well until he starts seeing Sylar everywhere. Looks like he has a part of Sylar's mind in his own. Sylar is trying to get him to use his ability and Matt refuses. He gets paranoid that Janice is having an affair with the water boy and finally uses his power on him so he changes his route. Score on for Sylar!

At the Carnival, Samuel says they need to gather the Heroes. On the girl's back we see Peter, Sylar and Claire. Somehow they need to get them.

I thought it was a good episode and I'm very curious to see who Samuel is and what is the deal with the compass. Looks like it only works for people with powers since it didn't work for Noah. Also is Samuel good or bad? I liked seeing Sylar and Nathan and like how they were able to put both in the episode.

Heroes - Season Finale

Sorry for not posting about Heroes yesterday. I was home with my son and he was sick and I had to take him to the Dr and I had no chance to go online to do anything.

I liked the season finale but I did not think it was great. We learned a few things and were surprised by others.

Sylar is attempting to meet the president. Peter comes to rescue Nathan and then together they decide to try to take him down. Peter is able to touch Sylar and absorb his power. But Nathan is taken by Sylar. Then Sylar slashes Nathan's throat and he's dead. Just like that! He is still trying to get to the president and even gets in the limo with him. He shakes his hand and confusion happens because it's not really the president but Peter. He gives him a tranquilizer and takes him to Noah, Matt & Angela. There they decide to have Matt use his power on him to make him believe that he really is Nathan. So he does that and "Nathan" wakes up and thinks he really is Nathan. They burn Sylar's remains (which is really the shape shifter) to convince Nathan that Sylar really is dead.

Hiro helps free everyone in building 26. He stops time but he's still having headaches and nose bleeds. Mohinder is woken up and tells him that his body is rejecting his power and that he must not use it.

Claire figures out that she's with Sylar and not Nathan. Sylar tells her that they have a lot in common and that since they will both live forever they should be together. She refuses and says she will hate him always.

We also see someone we were lead to believe was dead but I figured she wasn't. Tracy is back and she can control water and move that way. She kills a former guard of building 26.

Noah is caught and put in a cell with Danko who is also caught. He was caught because Sylar made the agents believe that Danko was Sylar because he's a shape shifter. Noah and Danko escape when Hiro stops time.

The new chapter is called Redemption and it starts out I think 6 weeks later. We see Sylar/Nathan and he's in his senate office. Angela comes in to have lunch with him. He says he hasn't been feeling himself. He pauses at a clock and says that it's running 3 minutes behind and fixes it and says he's ready to go. Angela has a worried look on her face. I looks like Sylar will be back next season.

Heroes - I Am Sylar

Last night's episode was good, all about Sylar and his identity crisis.

We see Sylar and Danko talking and him telling him that he needs to take over one of the agents for his cover. So Sylar takes over that agent's life. We see him wake up in the apartment as that agent and then he goes to the mirror and says "Not again" and shifts back to Sylar. Then pulls an extra tooth out of his mouth. Then we see him in Danko's office as himself. Danko has a talk with him about how "Sylar" died so he could be free. Sylar doesn't see it that way because he says shifting is messing with him and he isn't truly himself and that he found an extra tooth in his mouth and one of his eyes took over an hour to turn back to the right color. Danko tells him that he's lived many different lives and that he always knows who he is because he has his father's watch to remind him. He shows it to Sylar and he tells him that his watch is loosing 5 seconds every hour. Then Danko asks who he killed to get that power and he says that was the only one that was his own. So Danko suggests he have something to remind him of who he is.

He gets all the files on his mom's unsolved murder. We see flashbacks of his mom dying and then he shifts into his mom and has a "conversation" with her. Totally going Psycho there. She convinces him to maybe become president.

Danko knows where Rebel is and they go to get him. Sylar gets to Micah first and Micah says he know what he's going through. Micah knows about the identity crisis and that Sylar can help all the heroes. Sylar decides to help Micah and shifts into him so they can shoot him and kill him. We see him talking to Danko and he says they didn't find the kid's body and Sylar says "dead is dead". Micah is sleeping on Sylar's couch and he hears Sylar talking to his "mom" and then Sylar gets mad and kicks him out. He tells him that if he ever sees him again he'll kill him.

Then Sylar goes to Nathan's office and shifts into him. He gives the speech that we saw at the end of last season. Then the real Nathan comes into his office and faces Sylar. Just as he's about to cut his head open, Danko comes in with tranquilizer gun and shoots Nathan. Sylar gets upset and then Danko stabs him in the back of the neck. We think Sylar is dead because he falls over and then he gets up and pulls the knife out. Danko is totally shocked and the Sylar says "that really hurt!"

Also in the episode: Ando and Hiro plot to take down building 26. Hiro lets Ando get captured but nearly gets himself captured and they escape. We see Hiro have headaches when he stops time. Then Ando was supercharging him and Hiro gets a horrible headache and gets a nosebleed. Matt decides to stay with his family and go into hiding. He hears the agents coming and tells Janice they need to go. But then he decides that he cna never have a peaceful life if the agents are still out there hunting them. So he decides to fight. Just then agents come through the door and he makes them invisible to them so they don't get captured. Mohinder is in Coyote Sands and he gets captured. Noah, Angela and Claire are driving and they look like they also will get captured.

Heroes - 1961

Last night's Heroes was really good. We learned about Angela and how the company got started.

Peter, Nathan, Noah, Claire and Angela are at Coyote Sands digging up a bunch of dead bodies. They wonder why they're doing that and we flashback to 1961. Angela and her little sister Alice arrive there with their parents. It's a relocation center and right away we meed Chandra Suresh. They think they are there to be helped since they are different but Alice doesn't like it there. Through several flashbacks we learn some things. We learn that Angela takes care of Alice. Also we learn that Alice can control the weather. We also meet Charles Deveaux, Linderman & Bob. They try to convince Angela to leave the camp but she doesn't want to leave Alice. They convince her to lie to her since she would only slow them down. She does lie to Alice and tells her to stay there and everything will be okay. We learn that what Charles' power is, he can erase someone's memory (almost like a Jedi mind trick). They go to the Coyote Sands Cafe and talk about things. Meanwhile back at the camp, Dr. Suresh goes to talk to Alice. He tries to give her a shot and she freaks out and the weather goes haywire. That ends up killing everyone in the camp except Dr. Suresh, Dr. Zimmerman (we briefly got introduced) and Charles, Daniel, Bob & Angel (because they weren't there). So that is when they decide to form the company to keep people with powers a secret. Angela tells them that she dreamed that it would happen and that they must do anything to protect people like them.

In present day we have Peter and Nathan struggling with their relationship. Noah finally telling Claire what he was doing exactly and he also tells them about Sylar being a shape shifter now. The weather goes haywire and Angela ends up in a bunker and finds out Alice is alive. They reunite and Angela tells her she lied to her. Alice then leaves and Angela is sad. Also Mohinder comes to Coyote Sands and finds out what happened and that his father was part of it. He gets a video that they found of his father. Angela, Claire, Nathan, Peter & Noah are all at the Cafe and they decide to do what they can to keep people with powers a secret. But Peter says that they are not a company but a family. Nathan says he'll go to Washington and talk to the president but then they see the TV and Nathan is having a press conference. Except we know that's not really Nathan but Sylar.

So now we know what Charles Deveaux's power is. I assume they meet Kaito, Adam & Arthur later on and start the company together.

Heroes - 04/06

I thought last night's episode was good. Although from the previews last week I was expecting to see the Petrelli family more.

Matt - He is talking to Mohinder and telling him that Danko is the one they need to go after. Mohinder tries to talk him out of it, but Matt won't listen. So Matt follows Danko and puts it in his mind that someone he loves is in danger. He goes to the house of a Russian girl named Alena. We see that he loves her and she loves him but she thinks his name is Jakob and that he lives in Chicago. After Danko leaves, Matt goes into Alena's house to kill her but he can't. She notices him and is scared at first but he convinces her that he works with Jakob. They talk about him and she tells him that Jakob has family (wife and kids) in Chicago. Matt then tells her that he is not who he says he is and he can show her. He takes her to Danko's apartment and shows her the truth. Danko can't deny it because Matt uses his power on him to tell the truth. Matt tries to shoot Alena but can't. So Danko picks up the gun and fires and time stops. Hiro is there to save Matt.

Hiro, Ando and Baby Matt Parkman - They are traveling to find adult Matt. Baby Matt makes the car stop working whenever he is upset. So they try to hitch a ride with a trucker, but baby Matt stops the truck from working. Ando makes a face that baby Matt likes so they can drive the car. Hiro gets a phone call from Mohinder and he tells them where Matt is. Hiro saves Matt and tells him that he has a son. Matt is happy to see baby Matt and they all leave in a car.

Sylar is having fun with shape-shifting. Noah is suspicious of Danko and Sylar. When they are about to cremate Sylar, he pulls the rod out of his head and find out he's not really Sylar. He runs a DNA test to find out who really died. In the meantime, Sandra is in town to talk to Noah. We see her come and give Noah divorce papers and leave, but it was really Sylar. Noah figures out that it wasn't really Sandra because the signature doesn't match. He goes to her hotel and tries to kill her but finds out it really is Sandra. She kicks him out. He goes back and pulls a gun on Danko and tells him he know about Sylar. Danko tells him who Sylar is impersonating and when they get to the team he denies it making Noah look bad. Noah shoots the guy he thinks is Sylar but we see a lot of blood and he tells him he killed an innocent man. He runs and they chase him. But the man he shot was really Sylar and he was just playing dead. Best line ever "I squeezed out a little extra" when Danko asks him about all the blood.

So now Noah is on the run too. He calls Sandra and tells her that he's on the run and that he will call her later.

Meanwhile Nathan and Claire are going to meet Peter and Angela in Coyote Sands. Once there they begin to dig. They find a body and Angela tells them to keep digging. A car approaches and it's Noah. Also Mohinder was going through his father's things and finds out that he was working on a project Coyote Sands in the 60s.

Heroes - Into Asylum

It was a good episode, but not as good as last week's. Plenty of Sylar though, which is a plus!

Nathan & Claire - They are in Mexico and have no money. What I don't get is why Nathan has flying hair and Claire doesn't. Claire sells the necklace that Noah gave her so that they have money to eat. At a bar they see some guys and Nathan tries to win money by out drinking them. He looses and so Claire convinces them to do a re-match with her. She wins all the money back and their money. With her ability she can't get drunk. Nathan tells her that he screwed up majorly and that he wants to try to fix things. So they take off together.

Peter & Angela - They are taking refuge in a church. It's the same church that Angela & Arthur got married in. She tells Peter that she hasn't had a dream for a long time and that sleep needs to be earned. He takes care of her though. But then some agents come and they hide out in the confessional. Angela tells Peter that she was just like him. When she first got her ability she had dreams about the world ending and she tried to stop it. She said it cost her though and ruined her relationship with her sons and husband. Just then the door opens and it's Noah. He tells the agents that "it's all clear!" and leaves Peter and Angela. Later on we see Peter waking Angela up. She said she had a dream and she knows what to do. She tells him they need to find Nathan and Claire and bring the family together and go see her sister.

Sylar & Danko - They are going after a guy and he gets away. Sylar tells Danko that he can help him round them all up but Danko won't listen. Finally Sylar tells him that the guy they're looking for is a shape shifter. The guy runs but they loose him. So Danko decides to listen to Sylar. They go to the shape shifter's apartment and find out that he will be at a bar called Garden of Eden. They get there and see that he has taken the form of Danko and is making out with a girl. Shape shifter sees them and hides. Then we see Danko at the bar and Sylar comes up to him and tells him that they lost him. They begin to exit and Danko shoots Sylar, but it wasn't really Sylar but the shape shifter. Then the real Sylar comes and Danko tells him not to cut the shape shifter's head open but he can take his ability. So they fake Sylar's death and the real Sylar gets a new ability. Noah comes and sees Sylar in a body bag, but he looks skeptical. Then in the car Danko tells Sylar that when they're done he will be the only one left.
